We exchanged a lot of e-mails and phone calls to get everything right. The logo especially took a lot of time to get right. The people who have seen both my old web site and the new site have said the new one is 100% better. I can not say how much I like the web site. I will definitely refer customers to Wovn Design.”

You may be wondering why a web design business has the name ‘wovn’. For a long time I didn’t consider myself to be a creative person. Then when I was living in Kodiak, AK I took a basket weaving class because I have always loved baskets and thought it would be fun to make one. I thought I would take the one class and that would be the end of it. To my utter surprise, I discovered that I had a knack for basketweaving. I became an avid basketweaver and learned to weave many different types of baskets. I love the creative process of starting with an idea and then creating a basket. I quickly learned that my vision did not always become the end product because the basket sometimes has a mind of its own and a different vision from mine. In addition to basketweaving, I started doing some beading (Alaskan sun catchers), quilting, and knitting. To my complete surprise, I realized that I am a creative person with an intuitive sense of color and ‘what looks good’. About ten years ago, I started doing web design and found that, at least for me, it is the same creative process I experience when I create a basket or a quilt. And so whenever I think about web design, I also think about weaving a beautiful and unique basket. Because that is what I do when I create a web site – I weave it!
